LiteMage – A Quick Look Forward

x-litespeed-cache: hit,litemage

With many successful LiteMage deployments all yielding great results, many of our customers have been asking us: “What’s next?” This blog post will give you a quick look behind the curtain at some of our future plans for the world’s fastest full-page Magento cache.

Magento 2

Everyone is very excited about the recent launch of the Magento 2 platform, including the team at LiteSpeed. We are working to ensure that the release of LiteMage for Magento 2.x is every bit as revolutionary as it was for Magento 1.x. Follow @litespeedtech on Twitter and be the first to know when we release.

Cache Compression

In a Magento store with many products, the cache size can grow very rapidly. By compressing the cache, you can expect to save big on space that could be put to better use elsewhere.

LiteMage Load Balancer For High Availability Clusters

Some Magento stores may find that they have grown beyond the limits of just one server. For these larger stores, a load balanced cluster can solve the problem much more cheaply and efficiently than a single more powerful server by distributing the server load between a group of weaker servers all running a copy of your Magento store. This combined with a High Availability setup will keep your store available and running smoothly.

Intelligent Crawling

LiteMage’s built-in crawler does it’s job and does it well, but we think we can make it even better. With intelligent crawling, the crawler will have the capability to learn what pages it should prioritize when crawling with no manual configuration necessary. We also plan to have LiteMage be able to re-cache pages immediately after they are purged, keeping your cache in an always warmed up state.
