Announcing the Release of Ultra VPS License
Because Ultra Is Better
The VPS market is changing. We get that. Back in 2007, when we first started offering VPS licenses, 2GB of RAM seemed like all anyone on a VPS would need. Now your customer’s highly successful Ewok fashion forum needs more power. You can give them an upgrade, but you don’t want to pay for a 1-CPU license so they can make use of that extra memory.
Now you don’t have to. Starting March 7th, we’ve introduced the Ultra VPS license. Ultra VPS stakes out a nice middle ground between normal VPS and a full 1-CPU license: it supports up to 8GB of RAM and 600 concurrent connections for a price nestled comfortably below a 1-CPU license — $20/month. (That’s enough saved cash for new subscriptions to People, Us Weekly, the National Enquirer, Good Housekeeping, Reader’s Digest, AND O: the Oprah Magazine! Or one subscription to the Economist, depending on what you’re into.) For now, 8GB should be enough to cover most VPS customers’ needs, though who knows what the future will bring?
(Note: The Ultra VPS license only works with LSWS 4.2.2. So get on that upgrade if you want to take advantage.)
